Heart Of Metal - Painting

This thing is HUGE and took me HOURS. I have NEVER worked so hard on a piece of art in my life. It represents a lot of firsts for me: using textures, using custom brushes and attempting to paint a realistic person without any references (as in I don't know anyone who looks like this guy. His image was in my head and needed to be realized).

Well, since October 10th I have really not had time to be on DA thanks to the birth of my 3rd Nephew. My sister, Desi, and I watch three babies for 8 hours a day, six days a week. I am NOT a mommy so I have a hard time dealing with it lol. That being said, we now have them on a good schedule so I can have some time to be back on DA doing what I want to do.

I have a project to finish for :icongunmetalblack: which I will be getting back to.

I also have set up a writer's blog which will feature concept art for all 4 novels (almost 5) that I have done. My personal goal is to have Anna's first novel published by May of this year. The manuscript is good but I am hiring an editor to have a look at it and catch anything I may have missed - and make sure it's ready for a publisher.  Anyhow, things going well there, thankfully!

I haven't been able to get online at ALL since nephew number 3 was born. o.o. (My sister and I watch all 3 kids 8 hours a day six days a week and that was almost all my free time - just going bye-bye like THAT!). Yeah, we get paid to watch them, but it was a large chunk of drawing/play time to loose so I had to learn to work and draw while the kids were around. You can expect to see me around more and thank you for being concerned about me. That is really cool of you.
